Spin, Twist, Wriggle

2021, collaboration with Ellie Roser

The five lines of our piece refer to the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’, be active, connect, take notice, learn and give. Inspired by party bunting and banners, it encourages the celebration of victories in recovery, no matter how small.”

This piece was produced as part of the Perspective Project supported by Art4Space, which brought a diverse range of creatives together to create 6 individual reclaimed-textile works that explored recovery in the context of mental health under the collective title, "Along the Road to Recovery"

"The road to recovery is rarely straight and is never easy, the unique nature of this journey is represented by the differences in each piece"

Fabrics hung on a wall with text sewn on that says, "SPIN, TWIST, WRIGGLE // TAKE THE HAND THAT WILL LIFT YOU UP // AND GO SLOWLY ON YOUR JOURNEY // SO YOU DO NOT MISS A TRICK // READY TO OFFER YOUR HAND // IN TIME"
